Braille Education Platform for the Visually Impaired
dotori
- Period
- Jun 2025 – Nov 2025
- Role
- PM · IR · Frontend

Background
- 90.4% of visually impaired people cannot read Braille (Ministry of Health and Welfare), and registered visually impaired people grew from 14,618 in 1990 to 252,324 in 2020 (Statistics Korea). Braille learning devices cost ₩1.5M–7.77M, so even starting was hard; we set out to lower that barrier with a subscription app from ₩9,900 a month.
- Framed Braille education access and learning continuity for the visually impaired as a startup camp challenge, designing both social impact and revenue logic. Started at the June 2025 startup camp and refined it through three pitches up to the November startup BM competition.
Execution
Planning, IR Pitching & Frontend
- Structured concept, target, and revenue model and delivered the pitch at the IR competition.
Results
- Grand Prize, 2025 HUFS Startup Camp IR Pitching Competition (Jun 2025)
- Excellence Award, "PICK YOUR IDEA" IR Pitching (Seoul AI Hub / MOVE, Jul 2025)
- Grand Prize, G-RISE × College of Business 2025 Startup BM Competition (Nov 2025)
What I learned
- I judged that social value alone earns sympathy and revenue alone sounds cold. When the impact metrics and the revenue model shared one slide, the judges' response changed.
